Professor Chad Leonhardt

Originally from Oklahoma, Professor Chad Leonhardt is a Black Belt directly under Master Carlos Machado. Chad has been competing in combat sport for over 30 years, and brings an energy and drive to his coaching like no other. Prior to studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chad was a collegiate wrestler in Oklahoma. He also fought professionally in Mixed Martial Arts in multiple promotions, such as Strikeforce and Bellator.

Here at CMJJ NATL Chad is our head instructor, and teaches Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu along with our fitness kickboxing classes. Chad is a wonderful coach, and has helped many athletes reach the podium in various competitions across the country.

Outside of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Chad loves to spend time with his wife Krystina and two sons, Wyatt and Wylie. He also likes watching football and going fishing - and you may even find him sneaking in a few video games from time to time.

Great place! Professional and friendly coaches! Not only the coaches are great, so is the community they've been able to foster. They treat you as a family. The place is clean and spacious. My 4 year old son is always excited to come to his class. All coaches are very patient with kids. I can say Coach Manny truly cares about being an effective coach/ teacher.
